We're With the Band
a dream band draft

In the spirit of the cast/crew draft...

A dream-band draft. Everyone drafts band members, a producer, a photographer, an artist for their album cover, a writer to do the Rolling Stone cover story or Interview magazine piece and a director to shoot the video for the first single. After the bands are drafted, you tell us your musical genre, album/song titles, etc, and we vote.

Forgot this...

My 3rd round pick = Charles Mingus (bass, arrangements)

Cary's 3rd round pick = Dave Grohl (drums, rhythm guitar, vocals, songwriter)

Vickie's turn.

If I've screwed this thing up, forgive me. Runner's high.

Page 1 master list updated. Vickie is up, followed by Walt (who can make 3 picks), followed by John.

Also, please vote at any time as to how band band members we should draft. We can make it 5, 6 or more, depending upon what people want.

Sorry for disappearing!

I've been much busier lately than I usually am.

So I'm behind three picks...

Okay, I'll choose...

EDITED...guess i should wait for vickie to choose, first.

Once again, my apologies for being so behind. :b I will be more prompt in my choices from here on out. This is really a neat draft! :)

I'm up for as many band members as you care to let us have. I have 5 Must Haves, and 10 more to agonize over.

All of my band members are singer/songwriter/musicians, and will be fulfilling all those roles, so it'll be a helluva jam. Weird, but helluva.

Here are my next two picks...

Drummer: Sheila E.
Bass Guitarist: Jesse Johnson (former member of The Time and leader of the Jesse Johnson Revue, creators of the funk classic "Free World")

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

The band name will be based on the final line-up. Also, I have a few more musicians than the agreed 6 I'd like to include. Will this be okay?

I believe it's my turn now, so therefore...

Saxophone-Maceo Parker
Multi-instrummentalist-Stevie Wonder...

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

Still enjoying this tourney and looking forward to my next choices.

All:

Please feel free to 'name' your band and your debut album at any time. I think we'll reserve tracklistings for later, but if the spirit moves 'ya, go right ahead.
