I finally replaced my vhs copies of Saving Private Ryan and X Files:Fight the Future. Of course, SPR blew me away but I was surprised at the X files which had some great scenes where the sound was incredible.

No, I wasn't asking for just what horror titles you purchased. Just what everyone purchased in general.:)

This week was a bit light on dvd's for me and heavier on cd's than usual

DVD's :
Jackie Brown CE (been waiting for this one for FOREVER!)
Pulp Fiction CE (can't wait to watch this one tonight!)

CD's
Dream Theater - Once In A Livetime
Kansas - Somewhere to Elsewhere
Indigenous - Circle
Dio - Killing the Dragon
Human League - Dare!

Thought about picking up Gremlins SE and Big Trouble In Little China (2 disc) but BTILC was just too expensive for me this week and I haven't watched the movie in a long time anyhow.

From Dusk Till Dawn
Gremlins: Special Edition
Gremlins 2: The New Batch
Jackie Brown: Collector's Edition
National Lampoon's Van Wilder
Pulp Fiction: Collector's Edition
Reservoir Dogs: Special Edition (Mr. Pink)
That's $100 for 7 movies ($14.28 each) spread across 11 discs (or $9.09 each). :D

Ugh! I was soooo bad this week, I hate to even admit it:
  • The Royal Tenenbaums $17.79
  • Speed (5-Star) $16.99
  • Oliver & Company $17.99
  • Jackie Brown: Collector's Edition $13.49
  • Pulp Fiction: Collector's Edition $13.49
  • We Were Soldiers $12.49
  • Payback $9.49
  • The X-Files Movie (dts/used) $9.99
  • Terminator 2: Ultimate Edition (w/metal slipcase/used) $11.99
  • Unbreakable (Vista Series/used) $14.95
  • Shadow of the Vampire (used) $11.95
  • SW: The Phantom Menace (used) $11.95

I should've had a free From Dusk Til Dawn too, but BB didn't have any copies left. I thought they were out of Jackie Brown as well, but I lucked out and found a copy someone set down in the horror section so I could get my $5 off the JB/PF set.

Nice if you can convince them to do this. Their advertising and in-store signs clearly said "no rainchecks" however, so I didn't try and argue with them.

I'm with ya Terrell, i'm looking forward to Return of the Living Dead so fricken bad I can't see straight!! :frowning:
This past week I picked up...
A Beautiful Mind (used)
Monsters Ball (used)
Arachnophobia (new for 10 bucks)
The Time Machine 2002 (new but it's getting sold, the movie sucked)
I was going to pick up the new Pulp Fiction but other expenses didn't permit it. I'll get it next week though.

JustinR, you probably bought more discs this week than I've bought in the past year. If you keep this up, we might have to stage an intervention.;)

Yeah, about the rain check. It was an apathetic, teen-age employee that gave it to me. We'll see if I can actually redeem it...

I was feeling bad about the money I spent this week but after seeing some of the 'big hauls' in this thread, I guess my DVD addiction isn't so bad......;)
1) Pulp Fiction CE & Jackie Brown CE + Dusk Till Dawn deal at Best Buy - $29.06
2) A used copy of Planet of the Apes (2001) - $7.99 at Blockbuster.
Not too shabby,
Michael.

I know. I love this movie. I never tire of watching it. It's been on Starz about 2 dozen times the last month, and I've seen it about 12 times. I'm still pumped for it. I'm excited about The Fog as well. But dammit, I forgot all about Anaconda Superbit. Gotta get that too. I ordered The Fog and ROTL tonight.
Speaking of Anaconda Superbit, awesome Superbit screencap courtesy of IGN.:D

This is getting out of hand. I bought the Evil Dead Trilogy, The Thing, and Gremlins on Friday. I picked up Pulp Fiction on Saturday. Earlier tonight, I ordered The Fog and ROTLD from DVDEmpire and had them shipped overnight. Now I've got to get Anaconda SuperBit. That doesn't even count Monsters Inc coming up.:frowning:
By the way John, how's that Arachnophobia DVD? I haven't picked it up yet.
