In 1968, Wendy Carlos" album, "Switched On Bach," opened me up to the realization that there was more to music than just my "Rock & Roll." Come back in 100 years and Wendy Carlos will still be listened to.

Excellent articals & website Chu! I briefly remember the Quad days, My dad had a Munz Q8040 or Q4080 something like that (he still has it! it was QS decoding it think). We only ever found ONE Quad 8-track to play on it and then the Quad death soon followed. Any one whom asks about speaker placement should be referred to that site and read, some valuable info there.

I think there was more than one meaning to "Switched". I just thought that some might enjoy a fairly literate read sprinkled with some diagrams.

I actually think I still have that album somewhere with the 'pre-Wendy' cover.

Good article Chu, thanks for the link.
