I agree Bob is an excellent choice.
I also think we need to start having a 30 day or so trial period for new moderators whereafter we can vote on the job they are doing. I don't know what they do to some of you guys but some people can become downright rude once they become moderators.
BTW I think you are doing an excellent job Jack. I think Bob will do an excellent job also.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm actually a little humbled and am trying to "walk softly" these days. That green "Administrator" under my name is a bit of a burden - people might judge the site by the tone of my posts. I want to make sure I live up to it.
(This is actually a "cake" job as most of the older members give freely and are slow to take offense.)

But, Bob, how low do you want people to bow when they speak to you? I usually insist on them being on all fours, btw.

'Cause when people call you at 3 A.M. with death threats for closing their thread, you want them to get your name right. [IMG]

My usual response to people asking how to pronounce my name is: "I order pizza under 'Bob'".
    But it's McElfresh

Why would you want to order Pizza under a guy named Bob? I mean wouldn't you want to order it from the Pizza joint instead? Or is Bob always present when you order Pizza?

    Parker

As the RAFster would say. "You can call me Bob. And you can call me Robert..........."
