Weird thing about RPTV's

    I notice that when I am sitting down, the picture looks different than when I am standing. The brightness of the picture is right when I am sitting - of course I adjusted the set sitting. When I stand, everything seems darker. But, the picture looks smoother when I stand. I guess this has to do with the direction the crt's are aimed. Why does that effect the smoothness (if that were a real perameter)? Is this something that is adjusted during a isf calibration, or is it just the way RPTV's are?

    that is the way all RPTV's work.
    they are bright for around 140+ degrees going side to side, but they are very sensitive to vertical changes
