Weird Tempest/sub question.. (1 Viewer)

I have a DIY Tempest sub which I am crazy over, except for one thing. Everytime I want to turn it on, I have to walk over, bend over, and plug it into the wall. I know I could either: leave it plugged in all the time (I hate this idea), or plug it into my Panamax and have it turn on only when my receiver turns on (Not crazy about this idea because I only use the Tempest during action movies, and I would need a longer power cord).

Is there a switch/plug that will allow me to keep it plugged into the wall at all times and only allow me to give it power when I flip a switch near my sofa or something?

Make sure you use appliance adapters if you go X10 - Lamp modules are only rated to 300W.
