Since Amazon has the 3-pack for $29.99, why bother with just one? Sixteen Candles is actually the only MUST-BUY for me, but at that price I pre-ordered all three.

I've never cared too much for Sixteen Candles-just Breakfast Club and Weird Science for me.

If you get it from amazon.com for 30 bucks, free shipping. It's like buying 2 of them, and getting one for 2 dollars. Hell, give it away as a gift to someone who does like it.

I'm buying the collection and getting "The breakfast club" for the second time. I wasn't going to get the new one because my lack of a 16:9 set makes the anamorphic transfer not much of an upgrade for me. But for 2 dollars, hell, I'll upgrade early.

To help put these "cancelled" fears to rest, I can reveal that the Animal House re-release on 8/26 has a coupon good for saving a few bucks on either Weird Science or Sixteen Candles.

When I checked dvdpricesearch.com I could only find the 3 pack listed which caused my alarm.

Does anyone know what extra's (if any) will be on these DVD's?

I really enjoyed Hughes commentary on Ferris Bueller.

    Later

Ill watch breakfast club first, just to see if the deleted scenes are back in the movie, since its now listed on every website at 98 minutes. Everyone knows the old edition was 92 minutes.[IMG]

Yes, I would like to hear about that, Tony. Also, do you have the originals to compare the transfers?

Dave H, I will only be able to directly compare the breakfast club, the other 2 i never had on dvd. I heard those old versions of weird science and candles were non anamorphic and pretty bad. Ill try to tell you about breakfast club by sometime on sunday. The other 2 on monday.[IMG]
