I don't get this, but BMW Films' second "The Hire" series of short films (Hostage, Ticker, and Beat the Devil) will also be included on the upcoming Standing in the Shadows of Motown 2-disc set.

The disc will feature a 16x9 widescreen transfer along with DD 5.1-EX, DTS ES 6.1, and Dolby 2.0 stereo audio tracks.

Extras include an audio commentaries with the filmmakers, a trivia subtitle track, the photo and video that started it all, "Dinner with the Funk Brothers," multi-angle jam sessions, deleted scenes, "The Ones That Didn't Make It," "At Long Last Glory," video biographies, a music video montage, selected discographies, honorable mentions, a hi-res DVD-ROM playable version, and an interactive Virtual Recording Studio.

Retail is $22.98 with a due date of 4/22

    eh?
what's the connection? Are you sure it's not a press release cock-up?

At least one of the "Hire" films played before SitSoM at some venues where it was projected digitally.

Maybe the connection is James Brown in the "Beat The Devil" short...

I know that, but I was thinking about how a stupid studio exec would think of it. To be honest, it is the only thing that I could think of that is vaguely related.
