Do all wega's support the compression of resolution for anamorphic DVD's? I don't think they do but it would be a cool feature to know. If not, what sizes do support this feature. Secondly, what makes the WEGA name so prestigious other than just the flat screen? Are there any other options I am missing.

I have the wega 36, I don't have the specific model number available to me at this time.

My particular t.v. does support anamorphic dvd's, but only if the disc says anamorphic. If the disc is only widescreen then it will look odd if you configure your player for 16x9 and the disc is not actually anamorphic.

This is just my experience with the television, hope this helps.

By the way, all WEGA TV's 27" and over do the anamorphic squeeze.

Justin, actually you can set your player to 16x9 and it won't do anything to non-anamorphic movies or 4x3 movies. You just don't squeeze the pic on the tv for these.
