Hard to deny it. This is a big week of releases (new and catalog).

Put me down for The Trip to Bountiful (a movie I love) and The Farmer's Daughter (a movie I've never seen--but I had a huge crush on Inger Stevens in the TV series!). And I'll definitely pick up Trapeze at some future Kino sale.

Lots of variety. Enjoy! And, as always, safe shopping! :D

You and me, both and I have a feeling we were not alone in that regard.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike!

Quite a few classics this week, all very desirable and that will be added to my collection in due course.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Cowboy Mike!

I'm trying to keep my expenses down this month, so just a few for me:
  • Solo: A Star Wars Story Best Buy Steelbook
  • Blondie: The Complete 1957 TV Series
  • The Man Who Cheated Himself
There are others released here that are on my list for the next sales to come up.

Definitely "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 3 on Blu-ray. Best season yet, like "Baa Baa Black Sheep" only with time traveling superheroes instead of World War II fighter pilots.

I didn't love Solo, so my plan is to hold off until the UHD release falls below $20. However, that Best Buy steelbook is damned attractive, so if there are any left when I get there Tuesday afternoon, I might not be able to help myself.

Thank you, Mike! Amazon lowered the price of The Seagull DVD to $14.96 vs. the $15.49 you've got listed in the grid. I don't remember the last time I bought a movie that wasn't on Blu-ray, and it really upsets me that this isn't getting a Bu-ray release, but I want the movie, so I'm getting that this week. I directed a passage from The Seagull for class when I was in college and am very fond of it, and the new movie is fantastic, so I'm not about to let the lack of HD deprive me of owning it. However, they really opened the movie up visually and it looks beautiful, so it would really benefit from HD. Shame Sony isn't interested in providing that on disc.

And I may end up with Solo at some point for Star Wars completion, but I'm in no hurry to get it.

Thanks Mike! Halloween has apparently already shipped from Amazon. X-Men trilogy for sure is on the way. I may end up cancelling Punisher 1/2. And Solo is going to have to wait for a good price.

The Farmer’s Daughter is well worth a blind purchase. I already have it, having taped it off TCM, but the quality is not up to BR standards. I preordered it as soon as I saw it was coming on BR. If you like Capra, you’ll like this.

Hey Larry! Thanks for stopping in!

I love me some Capra...so maybe I won't wait for a sale on Farmer's Daughter. :D

Best Buy was sold out of of the Solo UHD steelbook when I got there. It looked like they only had two slots for it in their New Releases pillar by the entrance. Just as well, as it saved me $35 that I didn't really want to spend.

I did pick up "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 3 on Blu-Ray. I'm glad Warner Bros. hasn't abandoned Ultraviolet digital copies with its retail TV offerings, like Universal has. And I'm glad they included the episodes from "Arrow", "The Flash", and "Supergirl" from the crossover event, since I'm unlikely to be buying the most recent seasons of the other shows anytime soon (if at all).

Any word on whether the 1st Ant-Man movie is getting a 4K release anytime soon? I was hoping they would continue the back catalog 4K treatment for Ant-Man like they did with the 2 previous Avengers movies when Infinity Wars came out in 4K, but I can't find any mention of them doing so for Ant-Man.
