Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, the week of the release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website...but it COULD still be in-stores!
I only include the titles I feel like including. In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. I have a lovely wife and a four-year-old son I'd rather spend time with. Please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like I do!
Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

WARNING: Really slow week this week!

    * Non-OAR discs are, as usual, left off the Roundup. Example: The Road To Wellville, which I wanted very badly. NO OAR = NO SALE, though. [IMG]
    * Border's prices in the Roundup are shown at 10% off their in-store sticker price, since everyone reading this Roundup can print this coupon and use it to get 10% off of all titles. Now, let's understand each other: If you find a copy of Monday Night Mayhem in a Borders store, it will be marked on the box at $14.99...using the printable coupon will allow it to ring up at the $13.49 price shown in the Roundup. So go stick it to 'em, my little pretties! [IMG]
    * Target has The Count of Monto Cristo for the nice price of $16.99, but they don't quite beast Best Buy, do they?
The latest markdowns according to VideoTropics web site (DVD Title/Old SRP/New SRP):
    -------------------------
    None, sorry!

The thing that sucks is that CC and BB both have alternately low prices on Changing Lanes, and Count of Monte Crisco, and the prices are both not listed in the ad which makes price matching practically impossible.

Looks like I'll have to make two stops on Tuesday, instead of one.

I'm surprised none of the retailers sale-priced the 9/11 documentary this week. You would think they'd really want to promote the availability of those discs.

I usually go to Bestbuy without the ad, and I ask them to call the other store (CC, Wal-Mart, Fry's, etc..). They are always willing and are more than happy to match the price.
This way, I buy everything in one trip.... [IMG]

I'm surprised Circuit City has Salton Sea so cheap. Lucky for me, my pre-order didnt ship yet.

I'll just go to circuit city and pick Monte, Changing Lanes, Salton and Near Dark (with my Best Buy add). Yeah, I'm spending one extra dollar for Monte Cristo, not worth the added hassle of going further away (for me) to BB.

If you don't need it immediately, you can order The Alec Guinness Collection at DeepDiscountDVD.com for the nice price of $41.99, delivered. That's considerably better than Amazon or the B&M stores.
Also, be aware that the individual titles can be bought separately, with the exception of The Captain's Paradise, only available with the box set.
May the force be with you.

Thank god. I really needed a break this week after dropping $200 last week on 3 television seasons.

Wonderful job on the Weekly Roundup as always Mr. Lambert!

Small week for me with only Near Dark planned for my basket.
Desperately needed this after last week's big outlay:
Rumpole of the Bailey Seasons 1 and 2
    Stargate SG-1 Season 2
    Star Trek TNG Season 4

Any reviews of the Red Curtain Trilogy?
Why does Amazon list 2 discs for R+J when
the recent SE is only 1?
    It would make more sense if;
    Moulin Rouge - 2 discs
    Romeo + Juliet - 1 disc
    Strictly Ballroom - 1 disc
Behind the Red Curtain - Bonus disc

I'll be getting three DVDs this Tuesday, two of which aren't on the Roundup list, so it not too slow of a week for me. I'll be getting:
SOCIETY (My most anticipated DVD of the year)
NEAR DARK (Oddly enough, my second most anticipated)
    THE INITIATION

Well Getting Near Dark From BB Online w/Coupon. Salton Sea looks interesting as does the Count of MC but I think I'll rent them or pick them up PPV. I'm on the fence about Changing Lanes, while it looks like a 4 star movie I'm wondering on the rewatchability of it. With all the TV Product coming out that has great rewatchability it really starts putting alot of releases under the Microscope.

I really want to see the salton sea. Anyone know of any reviews of this dvd online? For $15.99 at CC that looks like a very good deal.[IMG]
