The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Wow, a full thirty bucks for The Fox & The Hound? :( Especially pricey given I'll never watch the cheapquel. Hopefully I can get a price match for the Target $24.99 and the DMR coupon at BB.

Thanks for the Roundup. I have Fox & The Hound coming from Disney Movie Club. I want to get Paul (unrated combo pack) too. Best Buy's website has it for presale for $19.99 with instore pickup for $19.99 not the $24.99 on the grid. If $24.99 is what's in the ad I should preorder it asap.

Thanks Mike! I know Kevin is finishing up his Paul review. So far in my conversations with him he seems to have really enjoyed it. I'm debating on Fox and the Hound and am looking at Paul and Your Highness.

Fry's is advertising The Fox and the Hound for $19.99. They don't take coupons, however.

So, $29.99 for Mars Needs Moms 3D= + $24.99 for Fox & Hound = $54.98, minus $8.00 Target bundle discount minus $5.00 Disney MNM coupon, minus $5.00 FH disney coupon = $36.98 for both, right? I'd like verification before I try it.....

The doldrums are indeed upon us. I can wait for Paul to eventually come way way down. Your Highness seems like a rental. And I agree with Brisby on the ridiculous price for Fox and the Hound. I can imagine Disney justifying it with the old "but its TWO movies!" argument. Great job with the roundup on all those Target and Best Buy deals, Mike. Truly dizzying.

My Best Buy ad in this mornings's paper is showing the Fox and Hound Blu-ray for $22.99 and the DVD for $19.99

Wow, I hope that's right, because my DMR coupon would bring the price down to a reasonable $18. I printed out the Target $24.99 price just in case I still need to price match. You know, it baffles me how Disney prices a lot of its animation output on Blu, and which films get $10 DMR coupons and which ones get only five. I got Bambi and Alice In Wonderland down to about $10 apiece after coupons, but a full thirty bucks for a relatively minor (if charming) film like The Fox & The Hound?

Guys: It's very likely that I "screwed up" the Best Buy prices as I had no early access to a flyer this week and went with the bb.com prices. I should have a flyer in my paper now and will make corrections to the grid. Sorry.

Nope. Still didn't get my Best Buy flyer in today's paper. Sometimes the deck is stacked against me.

I'm sure those flyer prices posted above are probably valid nationwide.

Thanks Mike! Anyone recommend Your Highness for a blind bye or at least a rental? The trailer looked fun enough but I know the reviews were pretty bad.

I stopped into BB this morning to grab a couple of the cheap-y discs...but mistakenly picked up another copy of Live and Let Die instead of Moonraker. I hafta go back to exchange it, prolly on Tuesday with Fox and the Hound and Mars Needs Moms. I also grabbed For Your Eyes Only, Blood Diamond, Primal Fear, Varsity Blues, European Vacation and Cruel Intentions.

Live and Let Die and For Your Eyes Only rang up at $19.99 each...$5.00 off each and then another $4.99 off each. They came to $10 each. They were on a display with a bunch of other titles...I assume the same deal goes for them, too.

Cameraman: The Life and Work of Jack Cardiff at Deep Discount for a whopping lowest price of $19.45 for Blu and $14.08 for DVD (no shipping over $15 but may be taxes).

It's OK and I would definitely recommend renting it before blind buying it. If you're a fan of Eastbound & Down, it's fun to see Danny McBride doing Kenny Powers in medieval times but there's not much more than that.
