The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Nothing outside of Bambi II. Maybe. I'm still dubious about it's quality (despite the HTF review) and overcoming my personal objections to Bambi...

Kinda slow week I guess -- Win Win and Poetry look interesting enough (at least for rent given their prices), but probably nothing new to buy at the moment (as usual).

Meanwhile, still waiting for my last minute "preorder" copies of Jane Eyre and Dexter S5 to arrive from B&N -- "express shipping" they say...

OTOH, from the sale offers, I might pick up Source Code for ~$15 from BB -- looks like it's the BD+DVD BB exclusive version according to their website. Had missed out during release week when there was a somewhat better deal (due to the then existence of the BB $5 coupon).

Anyone know if the Source Code BD+DVD BB exclusive is the dreaded single-disc flipper format or a separate discs combo pack? Thanks.

And thanks also for another WRU, Mike.

Thanks Mike. Slow week, but I plan on getting Bambii II for the kid. And I'll probably eventually pick up the ELP Blu-ray.

I found a copy of "Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend" and the package has what may be the single most pointless critical blurb ever: "A Jungle Adventure!" That's not a review, it's a genre description. I don't think they were attempting to be ironic like on the 30Rock DVD's either. I don't remember who the quote came from but, If that's the best blurb they could find, why bother? Surely somebody in the critical community gave Baby actual praise? If nothing else, I seem to recall the dinosaur effects were pretty cutting-edge for the time.

Man-

I'm not 100% sure on this specific disc, but Summit usually uses the DVD/BD flipper discs, so there is a good chance that's what it is.

Yeah, I checked blu-ray.com -- had to dig into their forums section for details -- and looks like that BB exclusive version of Source Code is a BD+DVD flipper. Bummers. Guess I'll probably hold off some more for now then...

Thanks.

Any thoughts on the ELP concert? They still had it when I saw them on the Black Moon tour, but that was a long time ago and the album they put out after that (In the Hot Seat) was garbage. Amazon lists it for $18.49 and says it's 210 minutes long!

I'd like to know about the ELP concert too. A couple of the things I've read seem rather positive about it. Aaron, I also saw them on the Black Moon tour and thought it was a very good show. I loved seeing Keith Emerson play live. And I pretty much agree with you about In the Hot Seat.
