The Batman Begins LE Gift Sets which are available this week include: the SE of the film plus a 2-minute sneak peek of Batman: The Dark Knight, the movie cash (see below), a 128 MB flashdrive which includes 18 images from Batman: The Dark Knight, a batman Begins lenticular scene and five collectible batman Begins postcards.

The Disclaimer Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

On Circuit City's website they have listed movie cash in both the Mummy & Mummy Returns (same price $14.99). Wouldn't be surprised to see it in the stores too. Also, if you buy a pizza at Papajohns you get a coupon for $3 off one or $5 if you buy both Mummy & Mummy Returns. If they do have movie cash & you use the papajohn coupon you'd get 2 movie vouchers & 2 2 disc sets for $14.99 times 2 minus $5 + applicable sales tax. I already have them in a box set (one disc for each) but I could be tempted to double dip for a pair of double disc Deluxe Editions cheap with moviecash.

Thanks as usual, Mike and Patrick.

As of early Sunday, July 6, Amazon has Batman Begins BD (non-superduper special edition) for 17.95 and Batman Gotham Knight BD for 21.95.

That might just be too good to pass up.

I may also take Best Buy up on that offer for Supernatural. Great show.

I'd have to imagine that Best Buy's price will come down for The Tracey Fragments. $194.99 is a little too steep right now :)

Thanks guys! Now that I see the RoundUp, this week is shaping up to be busier than I thought it was going to be. First up, Batman: Gotham Knight SE (2-disc) steelbook @ BB for sure. Just curious, does anyone know if BB will price-match Target on this, or is the steelbook technically considered a different edition altogether? Either way, I'm going for the metal case. Also this week, I'll double-dip on Batman Begins and snag the LE Gift Set. I'm leaning towards The Mummy (1932) (Univ. Legacy Series) but not until a read a review or two to see how (or if) it differs from the Mummy Legacy Collection already in my library. Since I do not have any X-Files in my collection, I think I'll pickup X-Files: Revelations as a prelude and a refresher to the upcoming film.

Finally, a heads-up to fans of good documentaries... You might not want to purchase it, but you should seriously consider renting Joe Strummer: The Future is Unwritten. It is an incredibly well done and insightful look back at the rise and demise of The Clash (and the whole British Punk scene), most of it narrated by Joe himself, and assembled with loving care by Julien Temple (director of Absolute Beginners and Earth Girls Are Easy among others.) I saw it last February and was totally blown away.

X is probably just a reissue of the old midnight movies edition.

Batman Begins BD from Amazon for $17.95? Sold.

I'll give Gotham Knight a rent. If it's good maybe I'll order that from Amazon as well.

Can't wait for The Dark Knight!

Got to get Stargate Atlantis: Season 4.

It was mostly mediocre Sci-Fi this year, but the production values were terrific. And the episode featuring Teal'c is worth the entire cost of the set by itself.

I'm *very* intrigued by "Gotham Night". The reviews have been all over the place on it. Based on what I've heard this is supposed to be like "Animatrix" -- a series of "Anime'" style short films loosely connected by a common theme. I guess I've got to get it since I own just about all the other "Bat stuff".

Uh ... I guess I need Mummy DE as well. I'm ashamed to say that my current "Mummy" was purchased used from a local rental outlet and is pretty beat up.

Why is the Donner cut of Supes 2 listed as being 2 discs? I just snagged one from CC and its just 1 disc.

I'll probably pick up the "Batmanime" DTV on Blu-Ray. I want to see this and will probably post a post-street date review since WB has not been offering us advance review copies of TV/animation products.

Just Batman : Gotham Knights for me this week. Too bad there is no discount on the previous DC video, Justice League New Frontier.

Can anyone correct me if I'm wrong...

I just looked to see what extras were being given on the two-disc Batman: Gotham Knight to see if I wanted to splurge on that over the single disc edition, and both deepdiscount.com and dvdplanet.com list the two-disc version as OAR and the single-disc version as full screen!

Is this true!? It would definitely push me into getting the 2-disc version if it were...but I got the singe disc version of Justice League: New Frontier over the 2-disc edition last time, and both of those versions were in widescreen. Why would it be different for Gotham Knight...?

I can't imagine it would be. I saw nothing to that effect as I was putting together the RoundUp, Robert....or I would have reported it as such.
