The Disclaimer Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

The Specials

**Be Careful! New In Town is being released this week in both OAR & MAR versions! Get the right one! It’s been quite awhile since I’ve had to issue that warning.

--I had to put this week’s RoundUp to be a little earlier than usual…so I did so without being able to actually see a Best Buy flyer. This week’s info is gleaned from other on-line sources.

--Best Buy has a Buy 5, Save $40 deal on five Pixar Blu-ray dics this week. Buy A Bug’s Life, Cars, Pixar Short Films, Ratatouille, Wall-E ($29.99 apiece!) and save $40.

--The following Blu-rays discs are listed on-sale at Best Buy this week:

$19.99: Australia, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Max Payne, Quantum of Solace.

$24.99: Bride Wars, Frost/Nixon, Hotel for Dogs, Last Chance Harvey, Marley & Me, Milk, Notorious, Role Models, Tale of Despereaux, The Wrestler.

--Best Buy Odds and Ends: None to report.

--Target, this week, is advertising FREE VOUCHERS to see Disney/Pixar’s new theatrical movie Up! with the purchase of ANY of the Disney/Pixar DVDs shown: Wall-E, Cars, Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles. It does not say “exclusive” anywhere near this deal. At participating theaters. Up to $7.50 value. Redeemed on-line using in-pack code. See sticker for details. Quantities limited. No rain checks. Up! in theaters May 29, 2009.

--Target Odds and Ends: A list of $10 titles.

Thanks for the roundup. Nothing for me although I am tempted to buy We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story. I like it but just not quite enought to justify a purchase in spite of its low price. Hayley Mills does a voice in it which is another plus for me.

Children of Men, Falling Down, Field of Dreams (yet again). I may have to get Live in Rio -- what a great picture of Diane Krall.

Eventually Cind. Man, Seabiscuit, Inside Man, Spy Game.

Surely I will get New In Town just because I'm a sucker for anything Connick is in, but not for $27 -- sometimes prices just don't make a bit of sense. A major flop grossing less than 25M worldwide is the most expensive disc on the new release list.

Yep, looks like Designing Women S1 is at the top of Mike's to-buy list for this week.

Children of Men at some point, along with Robin Hood. Possibly Australia, but not entirely sure. Otherwise, it's a quiet week, isn't it?

Yeah, I'd heard as much, Patrick. But I have a major aversion to renting movies...even really bad ones. I even stopped my Netflix account because I'd rather have the thing on the shelf than have to watch within a certain amount of time.

In case anyone's interested, I was in WalMart Friday morning and they had Star Trek: The Animated Series for $14.96. Not a bad price for the series.

Also, Blockbuster continues to have a 2/$25 used Blu-ray sale. I picked up Milk and Changeling on Friday. Other titles I remember: Prince Caspian, Saw V, Nick and Norah, Zak and Miri, Righteous Kill, Punisher War Zone and a bunch of others.
