April came in like a lamb with some pretty sparse release weeks this year…but is going out like a lion this week!

This is one of the bigger weeks of new releases we’ve seen in a while…with some pretty big titles including the 2025 winner for Best Picture and a CB DeMille extravaganza from nearly 100 years earlier!

Fortunately, Amazon has lowered the price of Paddington in Peru to $24.96 as of this writing.

It was $40.99 when @Mike Frezon put together the grid.

Amazon raised the price for Paddington in Peru again. It is now $31.99.

Considering that the standard DVD version is priced rather normally at $19.99, I'm not sure why the Blu-ray version is so much higher.

Edit: And now it's back down to $24.96, so this post has been rendered irrelivant.

On another note, has anyone here seen Prince of Broadway? I'm curious to see it, and it makes sense for Criterion to release another Sean Baker movie alongside Anora. But Anora and Paddington in Peru are enough for me for one week, so that one can wait for a sale price somewhere down the line.
