The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.
I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp
. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!
Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

I'll have the review for the Eclipse/Criterion DVD box set up later this afternoon. Six Czech films from the 1960s take a little time to get through.

Thanks for the RU, Mike! Nothing new for me, but I will snag 4 or 5 of the "Upgrade & Save" discs. BB's $4.99 w/coupon Paramount selection, in particular, is too good to pass up. Also, Big for $4.99 and the M:I Extreme Trilogy for $14.99 are no-brainers for me!

Every time I think I'm through with BB, they go and have these super good "Upgrade & Save" deals that I just can't pass up. I took the plunge on Forrest Gump, Psycho (Hitchcock version), Big, Excalibur, and the M:I Extreme Trilogy...all for $34.95 before sales tax. What's not to like?

Here's why the "Princess Diaries" deal is so good. I go to Target and get both movies on BD for $14.99, then I'll take my old DVDs (which are now duplicates since the BD package already has DVDs) over to Best Buy to redeem for $5 Blu-ray coupons.

Lol. That's awesome. I have a daughter to use as an excuse for those. This list is a great resource, thanks. There was a Best Buy coupon online recently for card holders for extra 10% and free shipping that worked for movies too.

Yep--good chance to catch up on some key catalog releases at BB, like Gladiator.
Thanks, Mike; hope you're feeling well.
Is the edition being sold by Best Buy the new transfer of Gladiator? If so, I may have to actually make a visit to BB for this. I sent in a copy of the old transfer to the studio back in November for replacement, and never received anything. Fortunately, the old version was given to me by a co-worker who didn't want to bother with the exchange, so I'm not out anything -- other than the postage.

I think it may depend whether your Best Buy still has old stock. I think the UPCs are identical, but to be sure of the new transfer it will have a yellow bar code instead of white. There were
some new discs in the older packaging, but if it's yellow you should be assured.
In addition for another forum
"Buyers will need to look at the back cover's bottom right-hand corner for a Paramount logo, and if the words "2-DISC SET" are present, that's the old copy; the new versions do not contain the "2-DISC SET" lettering..... Paramount has changed the UPC code on the back of the box to a yellow color with the latest pressing of the new release."

Just a heads-up: I was out browsing my local BB today and found the Forgetting Sarah Marshall combo pack for $4.99...
