The Disclaimer Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks for the round-up, Mike.

If you have a Papa Johns nearby they have a coupon for $10 off the Blu-Ray X-Men Trilogy with any pizza purchase.

Also at Bestbuy.com all the individual X-Men Blu-Ray titles are in the 2 for $35 deal. So for those who already have X3 and don't want to double dip, or don't want X3 period this looks like a good way to go.

I'll be buying Sin City on Blu-ray. I'm going to rent Caprica now and buy it when it comes out in the season set.

And I thought Frost/Nixon and The Wrestler were both excellent and worth checking out.

Thanks for the prices, guys!

I wonder how many seasons of Rhoda will be offered. Is this series also controlled by Fox?

I was excited for that 3-disc CE of "Notorious"...then I realized it wasn't the Hitchcock movie.

I was wondering if you were going to get this up last night, Mike, considering the Fenway trip you took. But I see that you "cheated" to get it up in time.

Just the X-Men Blu trilogy this week. I'll wait for lower prices on the Blus of Frost/Nixon, Wrestler and Sin City.

Mike, you may want to add the Hellraiser LE box to the Blu-ray grid, as well, since it includes the Blu-ray of the first film plus DVDs of the first and second films - as weird as that configuration is.

This may be a dumb question: Think the BB movie cash will come with the BD X-Men Trilogy? I didn't see this stated on the flyer or website, just for the single titles. Guess I'll see tomorrow...

EDIT - To answer my own question: No, movie cash only seems to be with individual titles.

Man, I love these roundups but they are sooooo depressing. BluRay media should be getting cheaper and it seems prices are still going up. Who the hell is buying $35 new release RomComs? The Criterion ones for $35 I can ALMOST see, but cmon.... Sorry to whine, but my personal limit is $20 outside a VERY select few disks but this is just ridiculous...

I tell ya...most everything I've been buying lately is used...and on sale on top of that!

For example, if I decide to go for The Wrestler sometime down the road...

It will be (soon enough) at my local FYE in their used bin (probably for $19.99). Sometimes FYE runs a coupon for 40% off a used item. Right now they are running a "Buy any two or more used items (DVD/BD/CD) and get all the used items for 20% off."

I can wait.

I'll give another + to the Blu comments. The pricing is becoming a joke even for a cheap-o like me who refuses to pay over $15. THE WRESTLER, DOUBT, FROST/NIXON, THE READER and several others are must buys turned into forcing myself to wait. I refused to pay Criterion prices on SD and I refuse to pay this much on Blu.

Usually these "newer" titles drop pretty quickly at Amazon's Marketplace so I'll eventually pick them up there. I've been looking at used discs at Blockbuster but they seem to be charging $17-$22, which also seems somewhat crazy.

I have had to seriously curtail my DVD purchases. I used to average a 2 or 3 DVDs a month, now I am only averaging less than one a month. I have so many DVDs in my collection that I will probably never watch again, or sadly have never watch at all. A Netflix subscription has changed my DVD viewing habit completely.
