The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks, Mike.

After four theatrical viewings since December, I can't wait to get Into the Woods on Tuesday. I preordered it as soon as Amazon put it up, and given the lack of retailer exclusives or bigger discounting, I'm just keeping that order intact.

A steelbook or something for it would have been cool, but it's also sort of nice not to have to worry about whether a store advertising an exclusive will bother to stock enough for me to get one (see: Big Hero 6, Django Unchained, etc.)

I also heard good things from a friend about Song One, so might get that at some point down the line, but not now.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike. Just rentals for me this week. I'll be waiting for the inevitable extended edition of The Hobbit.

Nothing this week I see right now, but that BB 3/$20 deal is pretty tempting (without knowing the full list of titles). I may stop in if I get time. If not, no big deal in the long run. It's not like I'm going to run out of things to watch anytime soon...

Gracias, as always, Mr. Mike.

HD-DVD? Is this an early April Fools joke?
Technically....

No.

HD DVD does live on. Just not in the US.

Biggest outlet?

CBHD. (Chinese hybrid HD DVD. Attempt to make Chinese piracy...stay in China)

Technically, while you do get two LEGO minifigures, only one is exclusive. Cover art states "BARD THE BOWMAN AND EXCLUSIVE BAIN" This version of Bard The Bowman was given away at San Diego Comic-Con International 2014 to random visitors and later included in a $60 LEGO set (#70917) which was also called "The Battle of the Five Armies"

This version of Bain has not been in LEGO form before Target's Blu-ray set and is exclusive

Geez, I was kind of assuming that Target would have some kind of retailer exclusive for Into the Woods. Hm, maybe the Disney Store. . .wow, they aren't even selling it.

Oh well. . .Black Friday it is!

The Target CartWheel 10% discount on all movies is supposed to exclude Five Armies but Today it did allow the discount, might not tomorrow.
