Safe shopping, RoundUppers!

Even though there are some big titles coming next week, this is probably one of the last big weeks of 2018.

I've got the Popeye release pre-ordered. And will definitely be picking up The Equalizer 2 when it drops in price sometime.

I'd like the new My Neighbor Totoro set, but not for $44.99. And I would be getting Oliver! if I didn't already have the earlier Twilight Time disc, but I do. (The transfer is great, though, so I'd recommend it without hesitation to anyone to missed the Twilight Time version.)

No 4k for Peppermint?

Ya know, Sam...I saw a listing for a 4k of Peppermint in one of my release lists I check. But not on others. And I didn't find a listing on Amazon.

Ya know, Sam...I saw a listing for a 4k of Peppermint in one of my release lists I check. But not on others. And I didn't find a listing on Amazon.

I don't think so Mike as I've been monitoring this title because I missed it during its theatrical run. It's not even available digitally in 4K/UHD on Vudu, iTunes or Amazon Prime.

There is also a new Arrow version of The Apartment on BD out this week, for those who missed this title during the Arrow fiasco last year. I have pre-ordered it from Barnes and Noble for 50% off. Bundled with the Criterion release of The Magnificent Ambersons to get free shipping, which I received last week.

For this week, only the Blu-ray re-release of Hang 'em High, but only after some reviews come in. I didn't buy the previous Blu because of poor reviews -- no remastering. Let's hope this is the real dead; it's one of the few Clint classics I don't have on Blu.

I think I'm out of the new release game for the rest of the year. I'll be looking for sales on things I want, but that should be it. I'm likely to cancel Venom next week unless the price on the 4k comes way down...and I don't think it will.

The Best Buy ad is pretty good if you only want to buy older MCU movies, otherwise it is completely useless.
