Will eventually get Incredibles 2 3D from the UK at some point.

Thanks Mike!

I'll be picking up:
  • Incredibles 2 on UHD, since it's the only way to get the original theatrical presentation -- the regular Blu-Ray and the DVD have been altered because the strobe effect in several scenes caused problems in theaters.
  • I picked up the Target exclusive Blu-Ray of "Stranger Things" Season 1 before the 4k Target exclusive was announced. Since the Season 2 4k release bundles both together, and since Netflix originals are true 4K, that's a no brainer.
Superman: The Movie is a must down the road when the price drops.

Thanks, Mike. Superman on UHD will be an eventual purchase when the price drops. I may just rent Incredibles 2, though, as Disney just hasn't been dropping their prices much.

I'll be picking the UHD version of Incredibles 2 as well, Adam. I totally missed it in theaters.

I missed Christopher Robin, too. I'll be picking that up as well--old school, as Amazon forces me into brick & mortar mode. I'm really looking forward to that one. We have a soft spot in our household for the Pooh characters.

Wait. The Target Stranger ThingsUHD has both seasons?

Incredibles 2 on UHD. I have yet to go 4K, but I'm future proofing on a few select titles.

Also--I had heard rumors that the strobe scene on the blu-ray is altered; if that's true, will the UHD disc have the original?

Big buy week for me with Incredibles 2 and Christopher Robin among the purchases. I'm supposed to review Sherlock on UHD and Elementary on DVD, but neither has arrived yet, ironically both series about Sherlock Holmes!

Thanks for the RoundUp!

I can’t find any verification that both ST seasons are included

Reading it back, I see my wording was ambiguous. I was trying to say that the Target "Stranger Things" Season 2 UHD has both UHD discs and Blu-Ray discs included, not both seasons.
Ahh. Damn you!! :P

Thanks, as always, for the RoundUp, Mike!

I have the following pre-orders on the way to me:
  • Benji’s Very Own Christmas Story
  • Incredibles 2 (Best Buy Exclusive Steelbook)
  • John Carpenter’s The Thing (Blu-ray Steelbook)
  • Mr. Capra Goes to War

A slightly belated thank you for your work, Mike! My computer was being repaired, which is why I haven't posted for a couple of days.

Anyway, you can tell it's the fourth quarter, because there are way more titles that I want than I can get.

Incredibles 2 is on the top of the list to get this week. I'll head to Target for that, but I'm only going to get the standard edition. The digibook would not match packaging-wise with my copy of The Incredibles, and that's important to me.

Christopher Robin, BlacKkKlansman, and The Producers musical Blu are going on the "eventually" list.

Especially considering the $22.99 price on each, Disney really should have done a "Buy both and save money" combined purchase deal on Incredibles 2 & Christopher Robin. That would probably have pushed me to get both this week, but as-is I can only do one right now.

Just a heads up: This week's Best Buy flyer is misleading. It says "Incredibles 4K movies starting at $27.99", so you might think (as I did) that the Incredibles 2 UHD release was $27.99. However, it's actually the UHD release of The Incredibles (the first movie) that's $27.99. The Incredibles 2 UHD release is $29.99.

The ploy worked though, because it got me to Best Buy to make my purchase instead of just grabbing it at Target while I was there for the exclusive "Stranger Things" S2 UHD+Blu-Ray release.

Speaking of, this is a pretty impressive package. Instead of just going with a box that's shaped like a VHS tape from the side, this is a real case that opens and from the outside looks like the old plastic video store rental VHS cases did; it even has the velvety plastic those had on the outside. The discs (three UHD, three Blu-ray) are stored inside the fake VHS cassette.

And I saw that deceptive text and noted what they were doing. But then, in my haste to enter the Best Buy info to this week's RoundUp misreported the price of their 4k/UHD Incredibles 2 anyway. I have fixed that price now in the grid. Thanks, Adam!

It's too bad that BB has resorted to this confusing, misleading tact in their flyers rather than including simple, factual prices for their product. It is now the rule rather than the exception with their media and THAT is sad.
