The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

I'm still on the fence with Man of Steel. It's preordered and ready to go, but my brain is telling me to cancel the order and wait for a better price on the 3D version. Especially considering the chunk of change I just spent in the last 24 hours.

I know what I should do when I'm in doubt like this: cancel and find a better price later....

Sorry about the lack of reviews for this week's releases. I only got the Criterions yesterday afternoon, so City Lights will go up this evening and Frances Ha tomorrow. Turbo has not yet arrived either nor has Jane Eyre, the Twilight Time release I've been assigned. But the reviews will all go up eventually.

I'll wait on better pricing for Man of Steel. I'll also have to decide if I want it in 2D or 3D. Tough decision since it doesn't seem like 3D does much to enhance its quality, at least from the reviews that I've read.

I was on the fence about even bothering to check out Man of Steel from my local library--but Bill Hunt at The Digital Bits wrote a review that's making me consider a blind buy.

I'm definitely waiting on MoS. I saw it in 3D in theaters...it wasn't worth the extra $$$.

I've got MoS pre-ordered and I'm sticking with it. I didn't have an opportunity to view it in the theater -- so I saved about $15 right there -- and it's *got* to be in my collection at some point anyway.

Picking up MOS at BB with Walmart price match. I thought it was one of the best summer films with excellent 3D conversion. Thanks Mike!

Ok, so I bought the 3D version and the digibook from Target for the "90 minutes of exclusive content" . As far as I can tell there's only about 30 minutes. Am I missing something??

The ad says that it's a Target exclusive and that there's "over 90 minutes of bonus content & book". It's worded to read as there's 90 minutes of exclusive content but technically, it only says that they have an exclusive and it contains 90 minutes of features and a book.

For some reason they're not getting it till next week but Nosferatu will be $19.99 at Barnes an Noble. Membership gets it down to $17.99, plus another 5% rebate if you have a B&N Visa.

Does the regular 2D Blu-ray of MOS have the book and bonus content? Does this cost more than the listed one on the chart?

If If you're asking about about the target v ersion it is only available in 2D. The book does not include a 3D version of the movie.
