Hey RoundUppers!

Another early RoundUp this week. No Best Buy flyer this weekend.

The Marx Brothers set and ID4: Resurgence for me this week. I'm really looking forward to seeing (really, hearing) these new releases of the classic Marx Bros. films. Matt Hough says we won't be disappointed!

Thanks for your work, Mike! Pan's Labyrinth will be on the way to me from Amazon this week. I gave the older Blu-ray edition to a friend and am looking forward to owning the Criterion. People who own the original should note that the Criterion does not appear to include the excellent Charlie Rose interview with del Toro, Cuaron and Inuritu...but that was in SD on the Blu anyway, so I am keeping the original 2-disc DVD (which I had before the Blu-ray) to hang onto that excellent supplement.

I caught it at the SIFF - Our Kind of Traitor was really, really good. Full on thumbs up!

But man, the more I think on it, the more I'm soured on ID4. That was a not very good movie.

by the way, if you want to save a couple of bucks on Waxwork/Waxwork II - Diabolik dvd had it for 26.

You were early this week, Mike! Right before I could get the review for The Laughing Policeman posted. It's here.

A couple of other releases should be here for review this week, and I've already gotten review copies for a couple of releases for the following week. Nice to get them early.

Thanks for the prices!

Thanks as always, Mike!

I'm going to hold off on Pan's Labyrinth until the next Barnes & Noble Criterion sale. ID4 2 will probably merit a rental. But my wallet can breathe a sigh of relief this week.

As always, thanks Mike for the RoundUp!

Good stuff this week:
  • The Laughing Policeman
  • The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection
  • Strategic Air Command
  • Villa Rides!
I'm most excited about the Marx Brothers Restored Edition Blu-ray set. From all the reviews, this sounds like a winner!

Nighthawks for me. Been waiting for this on blu.

Long before Tarantino and Mamet ushered in the new wave of profanity there was Stallone screaming the F-word 17 times in a row

Thanks, Matt! That link has now been added top the RoundUp grid!

And, as always, thanks to everyone for the "likes" this week!

:D

I gave some thought to Strategic Air Command--especially at that price--but the descriptions I've read just didn't call out to me.

Alice Through the Looking Glass at some point...but really saving money for a quickie Disney Land trip this coming week. And I have 9 Twilight Times movies coming fairly soon.

Thanks Mike!

First time I've bothered to pre-order a title: Marx Brothers restored.
Have seen four of the five in theaters (in 35mm); now look forward to improved picture and sound (and a little restored footage).

Thanks as always, Mike (for the $$-info) and Matt (for the product review)!
