WD65833 MITSUBISHI DLP NO PICTURE ISSUE (1 Viewer)

My wd65833 has developec the typical no picture but has sound. Bought a new bulb and still no pic. I can see that the bulb is lit up through the vents on the lamp door. Right in the middle of watching tv the screen froze but youcould still hear the tv show I was watching. I shut off the cable box and the tv and reset both. I turned both back on and since then I have sound but no picture. Any advice about what the problem could be is greatly appreciated. Im trying to fix this myself without breaking the bank.

Sure it was the bulb and not the color wheel?

Can you make a video connection to the TV by an analogue signal ? (svideo, composite, etc). Just to ensure it is not a hdmi issue.

Hooked up mtyblueray player, both component and hdmi and nothing. When I turn the tv on all I hear snow with no picture.

You have two options.

Colorwheel died.
Main board died.

Even if the color wheel is not spinning shouldn't I be seeing some kind of image on the screen? All I get is a black screen with sound.
