I think I know what I’m going to get but since the sale runs through tomorrow, I’ll sleep on my cart first to make sure it’s the right choice. My big challenge this time around is that they probably have more stuff I want (between the BDs and the DVD-Rs) than anyone else, making it very easy to run up a high tab, and right now I’m on a tight budget that has to go for other things besides just this sale. The joys of adulthood :D

So I’m forced to be brutal to make it work. There are BD upgrades I’d love to have, but I haven’t felt any urgent desire to rewatch those titles immediately, and they’re not going out of print - so as hard as it can be to wait, I’m gonna wait til the next sales on those. There are BD blind buys of interest to me, but a lot of them are on HBO Max which I’m already subscribed to - it really makes more sense for me to just watch them there, I haven’t had any quality problems with their streaming. And also, nothing I’m dying to watch tomorrow, so it can wait.

And that leaves some Jimmy Stewart DVD-Rs and here’s where it gets tricky. I am actually on something of a Jimmy Stewart kick since I reviewed Mortal Storm a few weeks ago and I’m eager to see some of his films that I’ve never seen before. Even if the DVD-R stuff from him tends to be lesser titles from earlier in his career before they were getting him the right parts. Some of these aren’t streaming at all. So it’s just, so I get all the ones I’m missing, or do I pick a handful and hope that I don’t want more when they’re back to full price? Decisions, decisions.

Nothing here yet. I had a question about something with my order and emailed a week ago, no response yet. They must be slammed and/or at limited capacity with the pandemic.

Anybody else's order from the late November sale not shipped yet?

Some have including several saying they got dispatch emails TH/Fr, but public postings seem to indicate most people haven't
I think I ordered a dozen (mixed 4/44 and 40% off Multidisc) and am waiting. Since I was able to stack the 20% so many are $9ea I'm not especially antsy and am trying to give them a huge buffer zone -- if it shows up in January that's OK. WB has always been a little slower after 4/44 and esp the BF/Dec sale, but this year between Covid, increased online shopping, and the DeJoy destruction of machines and personnel I figure it would be even worse.

I suspect some items listed in-stock really were 'on order' and production facilities are running on fumes is at least part of the problem. I know the March Sale was disrupted because some support issues in California were shut down, so I figure that domino is even worse shape now

My order was entirely MOD DVD-Rs so I’m expecting that will take a little extra time vs BDs that can just be pulled off a shelf.

I'm not in any particular hurry, but I am kind of miffed to be going on 3 weeks now without any acknowledgement or update considering their web site says orders are generally shipped within two business days. "Latest Update" shows as the day I ordered:

They don't seem to value our business very much.

My order from 11-29 hasn’t shipped yet either, but I’m not complaining. When it comes to big sales, you have to understand that they get slammed with orders.

Plus there's a pandemic and the USPS has been placed on sorting and delivery restrictions for months now by its leader. Or have they been lifted?

I order the first day of the sale. Just received my shipment notice two minutes ago as I was reading this thread. What a coincidence.

Holy Cow,

never thought would be the one to make this statement... a little PAITENCE is needed currently, by myself included, yes my shipment from the 4 for 44 sale has shipped and spent 10 days at a hub in Buckner, N.C., before getting turned over to media mail, but honestly,

I will ask a simple question and I don't mean to tick anyone off with this, between,

WB, B&N Criterion/Arrow, Kino's Multiple back to back, ClassicFlix, Vinegar Syndrome Black Friday, and some areas showing spikes in Covid, I know that having it delivered is optimum, but I think we are going to have to wait a little while, i currently have between 35 - 45 items I am waiting on, counting the Friday the 13 replacement disc, and Flintstones replacement disc.

none of these are Christmas gifts, so I have that going for me, when they get here I will enjoy them, I just want everyone to be safe, the down side to waiting is seeing everything in the interim announced that is going to kill my checking account. :D

I’ve got a package from Best Buy that hasn’t moved from a USPS hub in NJ since 11/28 - shipping just seems to be a disaster right now. Oh well, I’ve got five zillion other things to watch.

I think their business is to sell the WB related tchokes

and the dics are a secondary market,

as most of their discs are not price-competitive outside of the 4/44 sales.

As of this writing ...
