I just read over on TVShowsonDVD that Sesame Street Old School Vol. 3 was being released on Nov. 6 from WB.
When did WB get the rights to Sesame Street?
Didn't SONY have the only rights for Sesame?

Actually, Genius Entertainment were the ones who released Old School 2 and 2009's 40th anniversary collection. And, according to Wiki, Genius sold Sesame Workshop distribution rights to Warner later in '09.

Why would they sell to WB though, Shout Factory would of been better than WB

Maybe Shout Factory doesn't wan't to handle everything, and maybe Sesame Workshop wants a bigger company with a global reach like Sony that would get the DVD's in most stores.

Could be, but all the Sesame Street releases I saw yesterday at Walmart, were in the bargain bin, so Sesame Workshop must have really high hopes with WB.
Are all studios afraid of WB? Is that why the own just about everything?

Let it go. There are people on the forum who believe with the Paramount deal, WB is a heartbeat away from having a complete monopoly on distribution. Also believe that WB's previous releases, especially with the Archive program, are subpar. Ergo, WB = bad.
