Bah! I've seen better looking watches at the Mall of America.
My philosophy (as if you asked ) is that I shouldn't spend more than $20, or less than $250. So it's either a Wal-Mart cheepie semi-disposable, or it's a really nice watch with great features.
The watch I wear while mowing the lawn cost me less than $10. My other watch is here (but with the new module that shows lunar transit times and is programmed to 2099). It's basically a one-handed watch for astronomy geeks.
My watch has some very unusual features, but at $125, you should be able to get a really nice watch with some nice features. Just prioritize what you want, and do a Google search:
Atomic Setting
Self-Winding
Chronograph
Titanium Case
Solar/Light Powered
Day of Month
Moon Phase
Alarm
Sunrise Alarm
Count-Down Timer (like a Kitchen timer)
Long Battery Life
Swiss Movement
MP3 Player
Etc.
I realize some of these features are mutually exclusive, but you get the idea. At your price point, you should be able to do pretty well.
Remember, Google is your friend.
