Wasn't there supposed to be a "Howling - Special Edition?" (1 Viewer)

As Halloween approaches, I'm beginning to wonder about the special edition of The Howling that was supposed to be released at some point. The belief that this was coming out before this Halloween was what has kept me from purchasing the bare-bones release that came out just before last Halloween...
Does anyone know anything?

I think MGM pushed it back to early 2003. I may be wrong.

I'll hold on to my SE LD until then.

I just hope all the extra are liscenced by MGM as the LD is "chock ful o' nuts" in that dept.

I've also heard 2003. New transfer, same extras from the old LD, plus a few brand spanking new ones... Joe Dante confirmed via author Bill Warren at another genre-related site that the re-release is definitely coming. When it does arrive, it should be good...
