This is the first I heard of this also. I have his LD set of some of the show's finest moments and it is one of my favorite big discs to spin.

I ordered a copy (and, YES, it is expensive--especially the shipping charge!) back in August. I spoke to a CSR yesterday at Johnny Carson Productions and she told me that my copy was shipped out on September 28th. She said it would take 7-10 business days to reach me. I'll let you know when I receive it.

I didn't see the total run time listed anywhere... assuming 6+ hours (anyone know for sure?) that's not too bad of a price. I remember the laserdisc was on the high side of the price scale as well.
Not to get off-topic, but does anyone have the 12" vinyl record "Magic Moments from the Tonight Show"? I was listening to it just the other week, Johnny was truly a master at his craft, too bad it was never re-pressed onto CD.
