It was below what I expect, borderline amateurish. IMO
Below. No chemistry between Al and John (Al's fault), poor camerawork (not accounting for shadowing on the field, being fooled on play action, etc.), insipid on-the-field interviews (Melissa Stark is a joke)... Would it kill one of our so-called entertainers to actually sing the National Anthem or "God Bless America" or whatever. Must everything be lip-synched? Is there no confidence that the Dixie Chicks can actually pull off a three-part harmony on live TV? Must everthing Celine Dion sings sound like an overproduced, overprocessed, bombastic mess? Can't comment on the halftime show. Switched to NBC: the SNL thing was funny, especially the rip on those Don Cheadle NFL spots. At least we had one of the best superbowl commercials in a long, long time: Terry Tate, Office Linebacker. That was great.
Can't say. I hate football with a passion and it would have been excrutiating to watch it in real time. I Tivo'd it and fast forwarded it late last night to look at the movie ads. I didn't have to bother though, because my husband, who hates football as much as I do, if not more, recorded the high-definition version to see which ads were in hi-def. All I really wanted to say in this thread is... Hooray for the MATRIX ads being in HD!!
I’d say that the presentation was much better than the game itself.
