I dropped $140 at circuit city yesterday on DVD's! Picked up The Sopranos 3rd season, Queen of Damned, Reservior Dogs (Mr White cover) , Jackie Brown, and The Crow.
I been avergeing around 30-50 bucks a week, but lately this seems to be going up! Anyone else notice they are dropping more and more money on DVD's every week? [IMG]
Tuesdays are becoming charge it day [IMG]

And to think that the article on DVD's in the LA Times from a couple days ago said that we buy 15 DVD's per year. BAH!!!

I dont know how many of you remember, but 8/28 (last Tuesday of August) of last year was a pretty big day for releases too...I remember having alot of things on order that day.
It might suck that we're spending so much money, but I'd rather have too many things to buy, than not enough! [IMG]

    I used to try to stick to 2-3 DVD's a month...but now i'm finding myself buying 2-3 DVD's a week.

I just purchased Reservoir Dogs (Mr. Brown) and Return Of The Living Dead yesterday.

I only bought The Sopranos 3rd Season myself. Thought about getting Queen of the Damned but passed since it wasn't on sale at Best Buy. Will probably rent it instead.

Got Reservoir Dogs for 10 bucks at best buy. $14.99 sale, and a $5 off sticker on the box. Best buy is the best for dvds. Nobody can come near thier prices

15 dvd's per year????? Yeah, more like 15 dvd's every 2 months. And yes, it was expensive. Soprano's and Resevoir Dogs. I want to see Queen of thr Damned but I will rent it. Is it any good?

I would be happy if I could keep my purchases under 15 DVD's a month [IMG]
There has been so much stuff coming out lately that I have been considering a part time job on the side to support my DVD habit.
I stopped at CC to pick up The Fog Special Edition yesterday, adn walked out with Fog, Boondock Saints and a vampire movie that I have never seen called Vampirella.
Then on to Best Buy to pick up Last House On The Left, Return Of The Living Dead, and I could not help picking up Schoolhouse Rock.
    Yet another expensive Tuesday!

This past week wasn't cheap for me either! At least I had budgeted for it...

ARE YOU BEING SERVED? Box set #1
QUEEN OF THE DAMNED (wide of course)
all 5 MGM MIDNIGHT MOVIE DOUBLE FEATURES
THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT
TALES OF TERROR 10 movie set
    FANGS OF THE LIVING DEAD
PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY (Dan Curtis)
TURN OF THE SCREW (Dan Curtis)
DARK SHADOWS Box set # 2
SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE DEADLY NECKLACE
    WEREWOLF SHADOW
    CURSE OF THE DEVIL

It'll take me a year to see all of it!

The circuit city is right by my house. Best Buy is further drive of extra 15mins with no traffic, which in LA dont exist [IMG] But I do get all the best buy prices at CC thanks to price matching [IMG] Sometimes CC has lower prices than BB some DVD's also.
Queen of the Damned was 14.99 and surprised me. I actually enjoyed that movie and was way better than I expected. Must of been all the music that made me think it was better [IMG]
    I proably do 15 dvd's a month easily, not a year [IMG]

    Hi...new here.

I'm in full agreement about the August expenses. I've found myself spending more and more on DVDs. The Trek: TNG season sets haven't been helping dollar-wise. I might not have bought as many titles as I would have, but the dollars are being spent!

    This month for me:
    Trek: TNG season 3
Trek 2: Wrath of Khan DE
    Time After Time
    V - miniseries
    V: Final Battle
    Pulp Fiction SE
    Rock Star
    Return of the Living Dead
WWE Hollywood Hulk Hogan: Hulk Still Rules
Scream: box set of the trilogy

I buy 1 per week. Unless 2 "must haves" share a release date.

15 DVDs a year? I'll top that just on 9/24 alone!

    Bolivar G,

Was there a new release of "The Crow" that I missed?
