Malibu's Most Wanted - Widescreen version

    Double sided single layer

    86 minutes movie.

Side B mislabelled as Widescreen, features:

Trailer and deleted scenes. WHAT THE HELL?

What happened to SS-DL, with ARTWORK?

Just when New Line (Man Apart) and MGM (Chateau) get with that program featuring BOTH WS and P&S transfers SS-DL, Warner goes downhill.

VERY disappointed. guess I shouldn't have bought the movie in the first place.

ps. Buena Vista included inserts for VIEW FROM THE TOP and CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND (but do not list Release Year, which suggests that these were pressed a while back).

I don't think it's fair to claim a studio is going downhill with one foul up.

Of course, Warner has ended up being the whipping boy a lot.

2-sided single layer holds a bit more than 1 dual-layer side, so that's probably why they released it that way.

ok, downhill is strong maybe - how about F'd up? grin.

    DS-SL = 10GB
    SS-DL = 9GB

86 min. movie on one side, and trailer + deleted scenes on the other, could easily fit on a SS-DL disc as have ALL their previous WS releases.

    what gives?

BV started printing Release years on their titles since August.

Depending how there was in deleted scenes, that could have been done at maximum bitrate or damn close.

Whew, luckily it was a terrible movie that they fouled up on.
