I've been waiting on a non-flipper release of TCP since I bought my player almost two years ago. This is one of my wife's most very favorite films, and she's been pretty good about holding off. Reason being is because I'd read - even before I bought the player! - that a non-flipper version was "in-the-works", waiting on Speilberg to okay it or to contribute to it.
It's gonna be 2 years next month, and still no word. Warner, I understand "The Speilberg Factor", but can anyone give us any feedback as to what the current status of this project is? Thanks,

PS - I'm sure Whoopie & Oprah's got a pretty busy schedule, too!

I remember reading something too that one was in the works but I dont know where.
I would love a Special Edition of this. MY B.F actually quotes dialoge from this movie if you can believe that.

The second Warner post for me to make this morning...
This film deserves such better treatment then what has been given. I too await for the Special Edition and would love to find out what is the latest development with it.
I am sure that the stars would come back for a commentary, this being one of the films that Whoopi is most proud of (and Warner's "Boys On The Side").
