Warner....redo Purple Rain

    Unless by standard this film is a 'family film' and that is why it is in pan and scan...please re-release with new transfer and inproved sound.

    Warner you should be ashame of yourselves for not giving one of your most popular and profitable acts DVD the premium treatment.

    I have "Purple Rain" on CED videodisc, which was already dead by then but they were still putting movies out on it, and on the back cover it says "Album available on Warner Bros. Records, Cassettes, and Compact Digital Discs"!

    I had a request thread going a couple of month's ago. I would certainly love to see a nice anamorphic-widescreen release of this film. It has all been stated before. The current version is pathetic. I mean truly PATHETIC! [​IMG]

    A SE would be really cool, but considering Prince has a pretty adversarial relationship with the studio now, I will not hold my breath...
