FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD is one of Julie Christie's best films. This 1967 epic certainly deserves a major dvd release.

Third. I'm glad others are helping me in the quest to get Warner to release this wonderful film. I also think it's one of Alan Bates's best.
Of course I don't mind waiting to get the best possible transfer. And, as I mentioned on another thread begging for this to be released, it would make a good valentine's day release (next year) as in the movie a frivolously sent valentine's day card is the catalyst for the story's action.
