I just got The Powerpuff Girls Meet the Beat Alls and really enjoyed it, but I notice that most of the episodes on the disc seem to be recent and we still appear to be missing a lot of earlier episodes on current DVD releases, so I sincerely hope more volumes are in the offing.

Also, considering the popularity in the UK of these girls, I'm surprised that The Mane Event is the only volume coming to DVD in Region 2. I had bought most of my discs when I lived in the States, and imported Meet the Beat Alls, but I would support Region 2 releases if they happened.

Regarding Dexter's Laboratory, I noticed in the paper advert that came with Meet the Beat Alls that there are Dexter's Lab videos but no DVDs -- what gives? Surely we are past the time when things were released on video independent of DVD? When is Dexter coming to our favourite shiny aluminum platter?

That is just wrong! Besides those things are ludicrously expensive!

Well, I guess I'll just have to be patient or hope that R2 releases outstrip US ones -- ditto for Dexter's.

Hopefully Warner's will catch up with other studios on their tv properties. There's also a load of Comedy Central Series I'd like to see on DVD.

I'd buy season by season sets of this show (and Dexter) in a heartbeat...for what it's worth.

What's just wrong? That Japan has massive boxes or that they're expensive?

Japanese DVDs are expensive, I've learned to deal with the fact that your average disc runs $30-40 US

Sean, it's called exchange rates. Call your government and tell them you need the pound to go up against the yen, so they'd better jumpstart your economy and get it booming
