Sherri said she mailed the label on the 9th so I guess it was lost in the mail (??). She sent another one. I forgot if she sends the label first class mail or Fed Ex..

She is slower than molasses, but if you send her enough e-mails she will respond. I'm still waiting for my MOD remakes of the noir discs to be processed and sent. I'm not counting on it happening before 2020. It's frustrating but what can you do?

I got the return label yesterday and a FedEx Express return label which I will take care of next week. Sherri has been replying and I greatly appreciate it. Now I can get the ball rolling. I dont even mind getting the MOD set as long as all the movies play perfectly ! :)

I tried to play my POPEYE 1933-38(?)set from Warner I bought in 2007 and it just said "dirt on disc". But there wasn't any dirt on the disc. Maybe I'll buy another one.

Happy to report that the replacement discs for my Film Noir set, plus the out-of-print (and still working) THEY LIVE BY NIGHT/SIDE STREET disc, were delivered on Monday. It took several months, but WHV did deliver the goods.

I had the exact same problem with "The Orignal Nancy Drew Move Mystery Collection" (Warners). A two disk, four movie set. Two of the movies, on different disk, freezes in several places. I tried cleaning the disk and using "Scratch Out" . Very aggravating, I had only watched them a couple of times. I ordered a replacement from "Oldies.com", but this set was a DVD-R set that they did not advertise as being DVD-R.

I sent an email to Sherri asking if I can replace some defective discs (the rotten LTGC discs I mentioned a few pages back were among them), but she's not in her office right now. She says she'll be back on December 2nd.

I got "Yogi's First Christmas" from Warner Archive the other day and played it yesterday. No problems at all!

I had a copy of Fort Apache (1948) on DVD which I only recently discovered. I also happen to find out it was on Blu Ray so I ordered a copy of it on Blu Ray. I got the Blu Ray this week and it placed fine so I thought I should test the DVD of Fort Apache before I sell it off. Anyway, got to the halfway mark and it wouldn't play another further - another rotting disc.

Anyway, into the bin it went but I now at least have a nice Blu Ray edition in its place.

After hiding my head in the sand for the last couple of years and not looking at this thread, I've finally been bit by the problem too. My wife has been going through the seven seasons of West Wing on DVD and has had problems with several of the discs on various seasons. The biggest problem, to her, is that the last couple of discs on the last season (7) don't seem to play at all. I have sent an email to WB customer service and to Sherri Bogard as indicated in previous posts to this thread. I hope she is still in business and willing to help.

Just now Disc 2 locked up after chapter 13. Washed it, same problem, on two players.

"Desperate Journey" and "Across The Pacific" both freeze up at around the 40 minute mark. That's all I've found, out of thousands of DVD's, and "Across The Pacific" was last night. Still, I'm glad that both are still in print because one way or another THEY SHALL BE REPLACED.

David, is your copy of "Across the Pacific" the pressed disc from the Bogart Signature Collection, or the Warner Archive Collection DVD-R?

I watched the DVD-R a couple days ago and it played fine.
