Very good, tough western, a favorite of mine. Peck and Eva Marie Saint give nice, lived-in performances, and the movie also features a strong early role for the late, great Robert Forster. Will be picking this one up for sure.

Trivia: Following her near death stroke in 1965, Patricia Neal was offered two movies when she was ready to work again. The Subject Was Roses and The Stalking Moon. She wanted to do Stalking Moon feeling it would an easier role since she was still unsure about her acting ability after her stroke. But her then husband (Roald Dahl) insisted she do Roses instead feeling the challenge could only help her self confidence. So Eva Marie Saint ended up doing Moon and Neal got an Oscar nomination for Roses.
