Does anyone know whether this Blu-ray of Jezebel is being sourced from a different print than the 2006 DVD? The DVD states "New digital transfer from restored picture and audio elements" yet the picture is soft and with somewhat crushed blacks.
I recently bought the Blu of Footlight Parade and was disappointed that it didn't look much better than the DVD. I'm hoping that this will not be a similar story.

Thanks for putting my fears at rest. To watch a really nice print of Jezebel (the poor man's Gone With the Wind) will be a joy indeed!

I thought the Blu-Ray of Footlight Parade looked fantastic, and was a huge step up from the DVD.

I am sure the new Jezebel won’t disappoint either.

I wouldn't say 'huge' but it was a noticeable step in the right direction. Source material dictates. It always does.

Yes, it was a definite upgrade from the DVD.
