According to the "Dawn of Technicolor " book, Technicolor produced 128 two-color dye transfer prints of the movie. It mentions also that the black and white version was filmed separately and many of the camera angles were quite different.

Yes, we screened the B&W version at the 1986 Cinecon, and pretty much everyone could spot the differences.

Amazon just added a link that hasn't gone live yet for April 16th which is a Friday. Looks like a typo so the release date might be Tuesday, April 13th.

Saw the B&W version many times back in the 60's on WPIX NY Chiller Theatre. Now that I'm more accustomed to the color version, it'll be interesting to contrast and compare.

Will pre-order from the HTF link as soon as it's posted.

That was my guess earlier as well and now a couple of the ALLIANCE ENT stores and MovieZyng/Allied Vaugh storefront have it listed 4/13 for several of thos WAC Amazon appears to have messed up.

Yesterday, Amazon corrected those dates to April 13th when those links went live.
