The Hanging Tree is a big and pleasant surprise, I last watched it as a VHS recording decades ago.
My next viewing will be on the new Archives blu-ray, good times!

Sounds like overall some good titles. I'm definitely in for The Hanging Tree and maybe the two Newman films.

I'm a little surprised about Leatherface...

Yes I am looking forward to The Hanging Tree and Harper the most from this list. I saw The Hanging Tree for the 1st time on TCM about 4 years ago and liked it alot. Time for another viewing in a superior version.

80's and 90's horror has a big following on blu ray and dvd. Still the biggest selling genre so this will sell. In fact most of the replies to facebook are only commenting about Leatherface. I just like how Warner Archive obviously is trying to please everyone with so many different types of releases every month. But people don't realize how much they have to release so different groups always complain that they aren't releasing the films they want. Just can't please everyone.

I'm glad The Hanging Tree is more available now, through DVD, TCM airings, and now the Blu. Warner's old VHS of the film was fantastically rare--don't know if a few copies were issued and the rest withdrawn, but it was hard to find.

Was hoping for at least one "Auntie Mame-ish" 50s era title, but guess that was just a lucky fluke.

I've the WA DVD. This is just great news!

Glenn Erickson will be happy too! "-- in a perfect world a wonderment like The Hanging Tree would be restored for a fabulous Blu-ray."

Now I can't stop singing, "I came to town. In search of gold..."

It's probably a long shot at best, but I wonder whether Warner Archive might ever issue GOLD RAIDERS (1951), a western comedy which stars The Three Stooges and George O'Brien? The other night, I discovered my Warner DVD combo of this and MEET THE BARON (1933) is semi defective (Nearly 4 years after ordering this from a former Amazon Marketplace vendor, SURPLUSDVD NEW YORK, that apparently no longer exists!) and won't play GOLD RAIDERS, and a replacement DVD would cost me over $25 and involve another 3rd party vendor as Amazon Canada no longer sells this title directly. At that price, I might as well get an upgraded Blu-ray, if at all possible!

    CHEERS! :)

The Hanging Tree is a surprise. I recall that they spent a long time trying to find good elements for the DVD. I didnt know they succeeded enough to release a Blu. I’m really happy about that title along with the two Newman titles.

I dont know if these are January 2018 or if they are just coming in 2018 but Im in for TCM III as long as it's uncut like the DVD. You will read that pretty often from other fans :D

Harper and The Hanging Tree for me. I didn't think The Drowning Pool measured up to Harper so my DVD will do me just fine, thank you.

The Hanging Tree came out on a DVD-R a few years ago. It was not a good presentation of the film. The elements looked very much the worse for wear and I assumed little could be done to improve the situation. I'm surprised this Blu-ray disc is coming from Warner Archive. I very much look forward to a huge upgrade.

The Hanging Tree is a really good film with Gary Cooper playing a much darker, more sinister character than usual.

Meh. Let me know when Warners finally decides to talk to 3D Film Archive about a 3D blu ray of Phantom of the Rue Morgue.

I hope these are popular titles that make a lot of people happy, and do good business for WB. To be honest, these are not titles I've been pining for, but some of them are good films and others may well prove commercially savvy choices.

Here's hoping a (not too distant) future round of announcements will bring something I'm more genuinely thrilled about!
