If the Demand isn't there then I can't blame Warner Archives from cutting back on new releases. However, I can blame them on their pricing structure which has affected my purchases from them.

Good to hear. I asked the WAC through Facebook Messenger and they said it is 1:78 and are asking where i got the full frame listing. Every place that sells it, Movies Unlimited, the Wbshop etc all list it as 4x3 full frame. I wasn't trying to be a pain or anything. I just want to make sure it's correct. Plus if it is listed incorrectly, I imagine a lot of people would not buy it.

I thought the whole purpose of Warner Archives ,when they started out , was to get out titles that wouldn't have the largest demands . Hence VOD . So yes i do blame them for moving off their original game plan . On the other hand i do miss the days of 4/$44 dollars sales and such .

That was only one of the purposes of WA in the early days. The others were for their Hanna-Barbera and other Saturday morning cartoons they owned to be released, also for all the TV catalog they own as well as some newer titles.
They have greatly increased their blu ray output over the past year which is the biggest complaint they got before was not releasing enough blu rays . So naturally since more of their resources are going to blu ray releases there are less rare DVD movies, animation and TV titles being released. But all are still coming out just at a slower rate as you suggested. You can't blame them for following the requests of the majority of their customers as they are a business. Its always nice to think studios can release whatever we want even if they lose money but at the end of the day they are still a business.

Yes, I'd like to see that one again. I saw it when it first came out. I was still pre-adolescent and Carroll Baker was still pre-Joseph E. Levine. I've never seen it since. In view of Roger Moore's passing, now would be a good time to release this film on disc.

Here's what the guy from WBA said recently (May 29 ) on their Facebook site. Doesn't sound like it's been restored.

Any plans for "The Miracle" from 1959 with Carroll Baker and Roger Moore?

Warner Archive Collection: Not at the moment, unfortunately. We were beginning to remaster this film a few years ago and ran into some serious problems with the film elements we have yet to be able to remedy. We hope to resolve this as it is often requested. Thanks.

I'm pleased and a bit surprised that it's "often requested" as I was under the impression The Miracle was pretty much forgotten.

For what it's worth, in answer to a Facebook question Warner Archives have a whole lot of so-far unreleased
classics scheduled to be released during the second half of the years. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!

I was happy to pick up DEAD BANG and THE BETSY in anamorphic widescreen last week. (POWER and ALASKA are also available.) Correcting outdated discs (I think all of these were first released on DVD in 1999, full frame) is a valuable part of the Archive's mission.

And it's easy to filter and search for what you want (format/genre/etc.)

    Warner Archive 4/$44 Sale

SO EASY, in fact, I dumped a quick $66 there last night when I first learned of the sale:

Spencer's Mountain (a firm $22 at Amazon since it's release)
    Goodbye Girl
    Ride the High Country
    World According to Garp
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
    Father of the Bride

    A nice mix!

The Blu-Rays are easy to navigate - only 5 pages.

DVDs, not so much. The genres are quite broad. And my tastes cross many genres. I was paging though the DVD section and gave up on page 50.
I had already selected a dozen titles - musicals, westerns, comedies, dramas, 30s, 60s.
And unfortunately I didn't see a way to tell if page 50 is halfway through, just beginning, or near the end

    David:

You can regulate the number of DVDs per page (I just selected 192 for ALL DVDs in the sale)...and then it tells you that you are "Page 1 of 16, Page 2 of 16, etc.).

I really thought the formatting was thorough and clear. Refreshingly so, considering the unfriendly navigation @ a lot of media sites that I look at.

sometime WAC just totally surprises me with the announcements of what is next on BD, if they really wanted to mix it up they could release the only two remaining Carpenter titles, that has not made it to BD

Has anybody seen the Medical Center pilot "Operation Heartbeat" with Richard Bradford, of Main in a Suitcase fame? I watched it on the streaming service and then bought it on DVD. Despite never being a fan of the actual show, this TV-Movie pilot was actually kinda good.
