According to the Amazon web page for the DVD that's out-of-print, the documentary is narrated by Eli Wallach and written and directed by Richard Schickel.

As far as I know, it was not included on the old Warner DVD as I have it in a snap case. I was getting the information from Amazon about the documentary itself on a separate DVD, which is now out of print.
