Huh, did not know that. Thank you for letting us know. I never did pick them up at the time.Since this thread has quite a few eyeballs on it, I'd also share that the Looney Tunes Platinum Collection - Volumes 1 & 2 will be coming back in print this June.
So, all the scalpers out there be damned. Ha!

The problem with Fox is that not only did they do a poor job transferring their nitrate negatives to safety film but that they chose to dump their nitrate negatives instead of donating them to UCLA, the George Eastman House, or the Modern Museum of Art all of which had film preservation set ups at the time, mid 1960's, I believe, when the nitrate film was dumped. Maybe it had something to do with the poor financial postion of 20th Century Fox at the time but that is just a guess. That happened to MGM negatives. Fox deliberately dumped their nitrate negatives, including three-strip Technicolor camera negs, in the 1970s. Robert Harris often makes mention.
Someone at the Blu-ray.com forum confirmed these are pressed discs like normal. I just noticed the Amazon picture of the cover doesn't have the blu ray logo on the cover just the words " Blu-ray Disc" which was an indication of a burned instead of pressed disc. Other pictures in this thread show the blu ray logo on the cover. Hope it's just an Amazon error.

As much as I agree with you, it would’ve been a tough sell to everyone but the most ardent of fans for the black and white years and mid to late 60s. We’ve also got to consider that there’s some films which will never be released (Coal Black etc.)I wish they would release these sets in chronological order… so I can just get one set and have all the shorts.
I understand about the missing 11… are any of them looney tunes? As much as I agree with you, it would’ve been a tough sell to everyone but the most ardent of fans for the black and white years and mid to late 60s.
