Looking at the extra's for the new special edition of "War of the Worlds," I was sorry to see that nothing was included on the flying wing. When I first saw this movie as a kid, I went to my dad and said, "there's a plane on here and looks like the stealth bomber."

I haven't seen this film in a while, but I thought it was the XB-35, or one of the other prototypes. Its an interesting part of aviation history included in this classic sci-fi film. its a shame its not acknowledged in more detail in the bonus features.

Chris, it was a Northrop YB-49 in the movie that last flew in 1951. Pal got permission to use a film clip in the movie.
