I ended up with a KLF-C7, same size

slightly more modern drivers and crossover, working great with my Chorus II's

But the KLF-C7 does not match your fronts in tone and timber. That is why the Academy is "required" with the speakers it is recommended for.

I bought the KLF-C7 when I found out how hard it is to get an academy

so far I have missed the only academy to come up for auction on Ebay, it was listed and sold on a "buy it now" during the time I was asleep after work

there is a slight amount of difference in tone but it matches infinately better than the sony I was using before and I can keep searching for an Academy
