Morgan, that is the original cover used to promo the game. Some of the Funcolands/EB's in my area are still using that pic...

It looks like they took a shot from the game and made it look like a painting, kinda like the effect used for the story panels in Max Payne.
Dean: Cool video.

That was the real cover, I meant that it wasn't actual graphics, but rather just a good looking representation of them.
The graphics are good, but why don't the lines on the road curve at the turns enough? That kinda ruins some of the realism for me. The ground and backgrounds, from what I have seen, could have used some more detail.

Shawn-
Based on what I was hearing about the XB last year, I can honestly say nothing lives up to my expectations. I was hoping for gameplay and graphics, but DoA3 disappoints me in gameplay and Halo just looks like it could look better (whether I'm nitpicking or not, its not living up to what I assumed it would be).
Overall, the XB hasn't fulfilled its promises yet. I'm not talking about the PS2 or GCN, just the XB.
Even so, in GT3, the roads did have lines that curved and the gameplay and environments were very realistic (maybe not as much as some other games, but the gameplay was the most important since it was a racing game).

Fuck, enough with this Morgan. I'm getting so tired of reading your constant Xbox bashing and I'm sure everyone else is also. 1000+ post's of bashing the Xbox is quite enough.
What console ever lives up to expectations with launch software? NONE! So give it a break.

I think that the DC did just fine...

And Colecovision, but who here actually remembers that?

The DC more than exceeded my expectations. To EVERYONE that is buying an Xbox is %1000 recommend that you pick up a copy of Project Gotham racing as it is made by the SAME company that made Metropolis Street racing, the best racing game in existence.

Have to agree. I *love* MSR - an incredibly underrated & undersold game on the DC. It deserves big success on the XBox.

I would like to hear reviews of Gotham from people that also have MSR. I loved the game, but I'd like to know if it is enough of an improvement to warrant another purchase. (widescreen mode is a big plus, too).

The graphics in the dreamcast MSR are better than the graphics in PS2's GT3. I can't imagine how given hardware that is literally almost 10x more powerful than the dreamcast the game isn't worth purchasing :) As SOON as I get an X-box, Im picking it up. I mean. FERRARIS. That's all I have to say. FERRARIS. And a GREAT soundtrack (Judging by MSR)

Actually, the DC did live up to my expectations. Sonic Adventure and Soul Calibur made the console worth it (my opinion has since changed about those games, but they still were up to my expectations then).
I'm not bashing the X-Box. I'm just pointing stuff out or expressing my opinions. In GT3, the lines on the roads curved along the whole road. From what I have seen in Project Gotham, they don't, and considering the X-Box's power, it bugs me.
