    Hi all..
I am going to be doing my AV room soon. I already own a 42" plasma and want to recess it into the wall, and for movies use a projector with a drop down screen from the ceiling, in front of the Plasma. I have not yet purchased the projector or screen.
Is anyone running this kind of setup?
Is there anything I should watch for?
Lots of great "what not to do's" in this forum. Awesome information.
    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I've seen what you propose done but my only concern, if it was me, would be recessing the plasma display. You'd want to make sure that it had plenty of ventilation somehow.

Seems like ti would be easier to just use a motorized drop down screen mounted to the cieling a few inches in front of the projector. To recess it would require too much cutting to frame it in. I am lazy.

    hi

I see this done (or similar versions to it) all the time.
More of an issue with audio / video switching and remote control commands than anything else.

    Best wishes

    Gregg
