When I look at the hundreds of DVDs and blu's jamming up my shelves, I usually contemplate moving into the digital media world. Except, I'm not really sure what that means. What exactly do you get when you buy a film? Is it just access to the film as it resides on the providers servers? Are films downloaded, like in a .MKV container? I guess my preference would be to download, so my access never goes away (unless my hard drives crap out). I'm guessing the studios would prefer the access-only model, correct?
