I want to build a crossover for my sub that acts as a rumble filter. I was thinking a steep sloped x-over at around 20hz. It is a dual voice coil system, so will I have to build two? Where can I find specific info on building a crossover of this type?
Is this even a crossover because I do not intend on sending this subsonic signal to another driver?

A rumble filter or subsonic filter is otherwise known as a high-pass filter. The most common ones are based on the Sallen-Key or Multiple Feedback topology. Usually, a 4th-order HP filter is enough, even a 2nd-order one will do. Have a look at the Projects section of The Audio Pages
